Merima Dizdarević (1983) woont in Malmö en is dichter, multidisciplinair en meertalig artiest. Ze won hiermee de Swedish Writer’s Union award: The Catapult Prize voor beste Zweedse debuut (best Swedish literary debut). Het werk kenmerkt zich door een maximalistische, lyrische tekst.
Dizdarević, oorspronkelijk geboren in het toenmalige Joegoslavië, bevraagt esthetische en hiërarchische principes en werkt daarom veelal multidisciplinair en in samenwerkingsverbanden. Daarnaast acteert ze en onderzoekt ze meerstemmigheid.

Her first Swedish work, långt från ögat långt från hjärtat (ver van het oog, ver van het hart, far from the eye far from the heart), was published in 2022. With this she won the Swedish Writer’s Union award; The Catapult Prize for best Swedish literary debut. The work is characterized by a maximalist and lyrical text.
Dizdarevic, originally born in Yugoslavia, questions aesthetic and hierarchical principals and therefore works mostly multi-disciplinary and in collaboration. Furthermore, she researches polyphony and works as an actress.
