Het MEHRNAVAA-kwartet is een Vlaams muziekcollectief bestaande uit Shahab Azinmehr, Farnoosh Khodadadeh, Seraphine Stragier en Nathan Daems.
Shahab Azinmehr (IR) begon zijn muzikale carrière als vocalist. Later leerde hij de tar en setar bespelen. Hij heeft een bachelor in restauratie van historische monumenten, en een master in de Perzische muziekuitvoering. Hij is lid van het Orpheus XXI-ensemble onder leiding van maestro Jordi Savall. Zijn eerste individuele album, Showq-e-Mastur, kwam uit in 2020 en bevat solowerk voor setar.
Farnoosh Khodadadeh (IR) studeerde Engelse letterkunde in Iran en startte na intensief Nederlands leren een opleiding verpleegkundige in België, waar ze met onderscheiding afstudeerde. Naast verpleegkundige op de dienst Intensieve Zorg van het UZ Gent is Farnoosh ook muzikante. Als dafspeler en zangeres speelt ze in verschillende ensembles en begeleidt ze haar eigen projecten.
Nathan Daems (BE) is een Brusselse multi-instrumentalist en componist. Hij is vooral actief in het jazz-genre en heeft ook een grote kennis en ervaring in verschillende oriëntaalse genres. In 2010 won hij de Jong Jazztalent-wedstrijd van het Gent Jazz festival.
Seraphine Stragier (BE) studeerde cello aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium te Brussel, waar ze in 2009 met grote onderscheidng afstudeerde. Na haar eindexamen volgde ze er nog twee jaar langs de specialisatie hedendaagse muziek. Seraphine combineert sindsdien verschillende muziekgenres: van hedendaags klassiek tot folk, pop en jazz.

The MEHRNAVAA-quartet is a Flemish music-collective including Shahab Azinmehr, Farnoosh Khodadadeh, Seraphine Stragier and Nathan Daems.
Shahab Azinmehr started his musical career as a vocalist. Later he learned to play the tar and setar. He has a bachelor’s degree in restauration of historical monuments and a master’s degree in Persian musical-performance. He is a member of the Orpheus XXI-ensemble led by maestro Jordi Savall. His first solo-album, Showq-e-Mastur, came out in 2020 and contains solo-work for setar.
Farnoosh Khodadadeh studied English literature in Iran and after intensively learning Dutch she started training as a nurse in Belgium. Besides her position as nurse at the Intensive Care department at the UZ Gent, Farnoosh is also a musician. She plays the daf and sings in multiple ensembles and also directs her own projects.
Nathan Daems is multi-instrumentalist from Brussels and a composer. He is mostly active in the jazz-genre, but has also gained a lot of knowledge and experience from oriental genres. In 2010 he won the Young Jazztalent-competition at the Gent jazz festival.
Seraphine Stragier studied cello at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, and graduated with high honors in 2009. After her graduation she took a specialisation-track in contemporary music for two more years. Seraphine combines different music-genres; from contemporary classical music, to folk, pop and jazz.
