Onias Landveld is een bekroonde spoken word-artiest, verhalenverteller en dichter. Geboren in Suriname en opgegroeid in Nederland. In 1989 ontvluchtte hij samen met zijn familie de Surinaamse burgeroorlog. Na 3 jaar te hebben gewoond in Utrecht, vertrok het gezin weer naar zijn geboorteland. Sinds 1998 woont hij in Tilburg. Hij brengt zijn persoonlijke ervaringen en maatschappelijke thema’s samen in krachtige performances. In 2015 won hij de Poetry Slam. Onias gebruikt zijn performances om gesprekken aan te gaan over identiteit, migratie en sociale rechtvaardigheid. Naast zijn artistieke werk is hij actief als educator en motivator, waarbij hij anderen inspireert met zijn verhalen.

After living in Utrecht for three years, the family returned to Suriname. Since 1998, Onias has lived in Tilburg. He brings personal experiences and societal themes together in powerful performances. In 2015, he won the Poetry Slam. Onias uses his performances to spark conversations about identity, migration, and social justice.
