Lilian Anneloes is beeldend kunstenaar, schrijfster en onderzoeker. Als maker en mensenrechtenactivist voor Amnesty International heeft ze zich veel beziggehouden met thema’s als gender en seksualiteit. Hieruit vloeide ook haar documentaire De Buurvrouw is een Kutwijf (2023) voort, waarvoor ze de publieksprijs van het Hendrik de Vriesstipendium won. In haar makerschap raakt Lilian graag juist die plekken waar het schuurt. Zo onderzoekt ze middels haar artistieke werk momenteel de (generationele doorgifte) van trauma en het inherente verband wat dit houdt tot (haar) activisme.
Lilian Anneloes is a visual artist, writer, and researcher. As a creator and human rights activist for Amnesty International, she has been heavily involved in themes such as gender and sexuality. This also led to her documentary De Buurvrouw is een Kutwijf (2023), for which she won the audience award of the Hendrik de Vries stipend. In her artistic practice, Lilian likes to touch on the places where things get uncomfortable. She is currently exploring (the generational transmission of) trauma and its inherent connection to (her) activism through her artistic work.
